A summer’s evening brand shoot

As a long time dear friend of mine I really wanted Jenny from the White Wave Clay Co’s brand shoot to be the epitome of her approach to life and business. Rooted in nature, at one with the natural world. A shoot on a hot summer’s evening as the sun went down across the barley fields seemed thee perfect choice, and so off we went, hopeful at capturing that golden glow in the hour before sunset.

Brand and head shots don’t need to be dull and staged, they can be freeing and natural in an environment you feel most at home in, like our local fields and wild flowers for Jenny.

We discussed outfit choice, agreeing that simple lightweight white summer dresses were where she’d feel most comfortable, as well as offering a wonderful contrast against the green-gold fields and orange sunset hues.

I made sure to direct Jenny so she felt at ease, allowing moments of quiet contemplation amongst the grasses and wild flowers, as well as more joyful silly moments to relax and smile so she felt comfortable in front of my camera and I could get imagery that felt truly her.

Thank you so very much, these are just divine. I had the most wonderful evening working with you. It was so relaxed, simple, elegant, and on point, your ideas worked so well and your direction was flawless. I felt really at ease with you and it felt like a real collaboration of ideas. Thank you I cannot wait to work with you again.
