Gilt antique french wedding tiara
A very beautiful statement tiara (3/4 circlet) that would suit a bride looking for something with French style. Dating to the Napoleon III period (1852-1871). The tiara is made from a lightweight metal that won’t feel oppressive to wear all day, and is covered in a gold-coloured gilt. It features a dove in flight (the symbol of everlasting love), as well as ivy leaves and flowers.
As expected of its age there is some areas of wear to the gilt – please look at the detailed photographs below, however this does not detract from its beauty and could also be easily restored if desired.
The tiara is adjustable with small loops at the sides for attaching with hair pins or with ribbons depending on your favoured look. It measures 4 inches high and c. 7 inches across.
